Driving Through Ireland

Another quick trip to Ireland, but this time it was supposed to be longer. We flew into Dublin and had one amazing day running around trying to see all that we could and also fit in a high tea on our first day of our month long adventure. We could not believe the praise we received from the staff even though Sofie really did not want to sit for sandwiches and pastries. She loves pastries. She just didn’t want to sit for them. Soon after we finished our tea we left for Kinsale.

Sleeping Beauty Inspired Editorial

I have always been inspired by Marius Petipa’s ballet, The Sleeping Beauty. Paris, France

The one thing about Paris that doesn’t change is the romance I feel when I’m there. The team brought everything together so beautifully.

We watched Scotsmen walk away from a rally, carrying their flags and cheering with each other. It made me proud

La Dame Moderne Portrait Editorial

And that’s when I decided I wanted to create a portrait editorial based on these scenes. Yellows and reds swirled in my head as well as the concept of a strong, independent woman who can pull of red lipstick and confidently walk around in Louboutin heels, but is also very much in love. She is a feminist, but she doesn’t let that stop her from losing herself in romance. I got to work with some incredible vendors to set the scene and bring this idea to life (I mean it was already brought to life by the show creators, but bring my vision of their vision to life, and this is getting convoluted, so I’ll stop here.)
